Gryphon actively seeks companies where strong growth results can be achieved when the right management team is combined with Gryphon’s focused industry approach and operational expertise.

Our market focus is on the attractive, lower-end segment of the middle market—a market segment that includes over 81,000 companies, excluding non-core divisions of major corporations. Our initial target investment ranges from $25 to $75 million, with a possible $25 to $50 million follow-on equity for synergistic add-on acquisitions that will drive market dominance.

As investors, we seek companies with attractive risk-adjusted returns that are not overly reliant on frothy debt and equity capital markets. In evaluating an investment opportunity, the industry factors we seek include extreme industry fragmentation, scale advantages, strong underlying demographics and demand drivers. We also search for “contrarian” plays within cyclical businesses.
