Paul joined Gryphon in 2019 as an Operations Advisor in Gryphon’s Software Group. He has more than 40 years’ experience managing and investing in software and related services companies during which he participated in over 50 investments in software and related services companies and served on the board of directors of over 30 software and related services companies.
At Gryphon, Paul works with Gryphon’s investment professionals to evaluate new investments and then works with the management teams of Gryphon portfolio companies to maximize short- and long-term operating and financial performance through strategic, commercial, and operational improvements. Paul previously was a Director of the board of Gryphon portfolio company FieldRoutes.

Kim joined Gryphon in 2022 as a Senior Tax Accountant and is responsible for maintaining tax reporting and compliance requirements.

Michael Borofsky
Michael joined Gryphon in 2020 as General Counsel. In his role, his responsibilities include transaction structuring and execution, risk analysis and management, and corporate governance. Michael brings over 25 years of experience with leading global companies across investment banking, law, and privately held investment companies. Michael serves on the Board of ALJ Regional Holdings (NASDAQ: ALJJ), an owner and operator of customer service-based businesses.

Jef is a Managing Director within Gryphon’s Heritage Fund team. In his role, he supports the underwriting and diligence of new Gryphon Heritage Fund investments, and partners with the management teams at Gryphon’s Heritage Fund portfolio companies across the investment lifecycle on value creation programs and strategy development. During his first tenure at Gryphon, from 2002-2014, Jef assisted with the execution and performance improvement of investments including Bright Now! Dental, Eight O’Clock Coffee, Flagstone Foods, Intelligrated, K&N Engineering, MSD Ignition, SynteractHCR, Trinity Consultants, and Trusthouse Services.

Carl joined Gryphon in 2019 as an Operating Partner to Gryphon’s Software Team. He is a seasoned technology executive with more than 25 years’ experience driving rapid growth for software and SaaS companies through innovation, product vision, and execution.
At Gryphon, Carl works closely with the senior management teams of Gryphon portfolio companies to maximize short- and long-term operating and financial performance through strategic, commercial, and operational improvements. He is also a member of the investment review committee and assists Gryphon deal teams in identifying, evaluating, and executing investments. In addition to his board seats listed above, Carl is a former Director at FieldRoutes and currently serves as a Board Advisor to the board at RichRelevance where he was previously CEO.

Dennis F. O’Brien works closely with senior management teams of portfolio companies to maximize short and long-term operating and financial performance, while also working closely with deal teams in screening and completing due diligence on prospective investments. He serves on the boards of current portfolio companies Mechanix Wear and Milani Cosmetics, and formerly served as a Chairman or Director of Dessert Holdings, DLC, ECG Management Consultants, Flagstone Foods, Fleet Laboratories, K&N Engineering, Matrixx Initiatives/ZICAM, Sheplers, Staffing Now, SynteractHCR, Trinity Consultants, and TrustHouse Services. Mr. O’Brien also serves on the Board of TreeHouse Foods, a publicly-traded supplier of products and services in the private label and food services industries.
Previously, Mr. O’Brien was President and COO of ConAgra’s $8.5 billion Retail Products organization. Mr. O’Brien has 27 years of operating experience in the consumer packaged and durable goods industries with ConAgra Foods, Armstrong Industries, Campbell’s Soup, Nestle Foods and Procter and Gamble, beginning his career in field sales and brand management then progressing into general management.
Through his experiences Mr. O’Brien developed deep expertise in marketing, sales, operations, product development, restructurings, joint ventures, divestitures and acquisition integrations. In these various roles, he has built and restructured numerous well-known, branded consumer businesses including Chef Boyardee, Healthy Choice, Orville Redenbacher, Slim Jim and Swiss Miss at ConAgra, as well as Nestea, Nestle Toll House, Pepperidge Farm and V-8 juices at Nestle and Campbell’s Soup.
