Bruce Coles – Former Chairman & CEO, MACTEC
Bruce is the former Chairman & CEO of MACTEC, a leading engineering, environmental and construction services firm. Prior to his experience at MACTEC, Bruce was Chairman & CEO of the Law Companies Group, Inc., an engineering and environmental design and consulting services firm and Chairman & CEO of Stone & Webster, Inc., an engineering services company. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, Bruce assists Gryphon in evaluating and managing investments in the engineering services and environmental services sectors.
Richard Horton – Former GM-Global Strategic Outsourcing, IBM Global Services
Rick is the former General Manager, Global Strategic Outsourcing at IBM Global Services. Rick previously held a number of increasingly senior positions within IBM which include General Manager, IBM Global Services Canada, and General Manager, IBM Global Learning Services. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, Rick assists Gryphon in evaluating and managing investments in the IT services, BPO, and training sectors.
Andrew McMahon – Former President, AXA Financial
Andrew is the Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at Guardian. He was formerly the President and Director of AXA Financial (AXA’s U.S. business); prior to that, he was the Chairman of AXA Advisors (AXA’s U.S. salesforce). Before his time with AXA, he spent eight years at McKinsey & Company as a Partner in the Financial Institutions Group. He started his career at General Electric in various technology, finance, and human resources roles. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, Andrew assists Gryphon in identifying, evaluating, and managing investments in the insurance services industry.
Paul Orzeske – Former President, Honeywell Building Solutions
Paul is the former President of Honeywell Building Solutions where he led a $3 billion business that operated in 52 countries around the globe. He also held general management and IT leadership roles for Honeywell’s Process Solutions business. Prior to his 26 years at Honeywell, Paul spent eight years in engineering and product development at General Signal. Paul has a depth of experience in general management, strategic marketing, channel management, service operations, sales, information technology, software as a service (SaaS), and mergers & acquisitions. Paul assists Gryphon in evaluating investments in the facilities services and engineering services sectors and currently serves as CEO of Gryphon portfolio company JENSEN HUGHES.
Tim Payne – Former CEO, MPS Group
Tim is the former CEO of MPS Group, a leading provider of professional staffing, consulting services, and technology-based workforce solutions. Prior to his experience at MPS Group, Tim was CEO of Openware Technologies, a leading provider of software tools and consulting services. Tim assists Gryphon in evaluating investments in the professional staffing industry and currently serves as Chairman of Gryphon portfolio company DLC.
Sam Reese – Former CEO, Vistage Worldwide
Sam currently serves as CEO of Vistage Worldwide, the global leader in executive coaching and professional peer advisory services for business leaders. Previously, he served as CEO and as a Board Member of former Gryphon portfolio company Miller Heiman Group, a leading professional training and leadership coaching organization. Prior to that, Sam held senior leadership positions at Corporate Express, Kinko’s, and British Telecom. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, he assists Gryphon in identifying, evaluating, and managing investments in the Information Services and Professional Services sectors.
Peter T. Regan – Former Chairman & CEO, ERM
Peter is the former Chairman & CEO of ERM, one of the world’s largest environmental consultancies. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, Peter assists Gryphon in evaluating and managing investments in the environmental services sector. Peter previously served as Chairman of Gryphon portfolio companies ECG Management Consultants and Trinity Consultants.
Jim Reid – Former President-Americas Strategic Initiatives, CBRE
Jim currently serves as President of Americas Strategic Initiatives at CBRE, where he works with the corporate development team and other executives to source, execute, and integrate acquisitions across the Americas. He has previously served as COO for the Americas, an operating division with annual revenues exceeding $10 billion, President of the U.S. Eastern Division, Chairman of the EMEA Division, and Senior Vice President for the Northeastern U.S. Investment Properties Division. Prior to his 25+ years at CBRE, Jim held senior leadership positions at Cushman & Wakefield, Jones Lang Wootton, and the Charles E. Smith Companies. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, he assists Gryphon in identifying, evaluating, and managing investments in the Facility Services and Real Estate Services sector.
Matt Reilly – Former GM-N.A. Management Consulting, Accenture
Matt is the former head of Accenture’s North American Management Consulting business, where he oversaw $2.1 billion in revenue and 4,600 professionals. He also held senior executive roles at A.T. Kearney, General Electric, and Korn Ferry. Matt currently serves as CEO of Mogean, a data science platform in the mobile analytics space. In addition to his corporate experience, Matt is a former U.S. Navy engineering officer. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, he assists Gryphon in identifying, evaluating, and managing investments in the Tech-Enabled Services and Professional Services sectors.
Kelly Romano – Former President-Building Systems & Services, United Technologies/Carrier Corp.
Kelly previously served as a senior executive at United Technologies Corporation for 32 years where she held multiple leadership positions including President, Building Systems & Services, a $4 billion division focused on HVAC and building management systems; President, Global Security Products; and President, Intelligent Building Technologies. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, Kelly assists Gryphon in evaluating and managing investments in the facility services sector.
Bob Salipante – Former President, Sun Life International
Bob is the President of Salipante Consulting LLC, a management consulting company focused on the financial services industry. Previously, Bob held executive management positions in the financial services sector, including President of Sun Life Financial U.S. and President & COO of Reliastar Financial. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, Bob assists Gryphon in evaluating and managing investments in the insurance services sector. Bob currently serves on the Board of Gryphon portfolio company Orchid Underwriters.
Mark Schlageter – Former Executive VP, Chief Customer Officer, Thomson Reuters
Mark Schlageter is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer of Thomson Reuters where he had a 19-year career serving in a variety of Global President and General Management positions both domestically and internationally. During his time with Thomson Reuters he led businesses ranging in size from $250 million to over $2 billion and he sat on the Executive Committee where he had ongoing interactions with the Thomson Reuters’ Board. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, Mark assists Gryphon in evaluating and managing investments in the Information Services sector and specifically in the areas of Government, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) / Reg-Tech.
Raymond Sims – Former Executive VP & CFO, Financial Engines
Raymond oversees all aspects of financial operations for Financial Engines, an established investment advisory group serving Fortune 500 employers and individuals. His responsibilities include financial planning, reporting and analysis, treasury, tax, and investor relations. As a Gryphon advisor, he brings more than 35 years of experience in corporate finance, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Phil Stassi – Former President-Building & Infrastructure, Jacobs Engineering
Phil is currently Executive Advisor to the CEO and Chairman, and former President, Buildings & Infrastructure, at Jacobs Engineering. Phil spent more than 25 years at Jacobs with various responsibilities, including leading the company’s 12,000-person operations and maintenance division and managing all operations in various geographies for Jacobs including Southeast U.S., Canada, U.K., and Ireland. As a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board, Phil assists Gryphon in evaluating and managing investments in the engineering services and industrial services industries, and serves on the board of Shermco Industries.
