Chris Iorillo
General Counsel & Managing Director
Chris joined Gryphon in 2025 as General Counsel. He is a Managing Director and serves as the principal legal advisor to Gryphon and is responsible for the vision and leadership of the firm’s legal strategy. He oversees the delivery of legal services to Gryphon’s deal teams and investment activities.
Prior to joining Gryphon, Chris was the Chief Legal, Financial and Compliance Officer at Freeman Spogli, a middle market buyout firm headquartered in Los Angeles. Previously, Chris was the General Counsel and CCO at Variant Equity and CounterPoint Capital and served as the Assistant General Counsel at Platinum Equity. Chris began his legal career as an M&A attorney at Paul Hastings LLP.
