Keith Stimson

Deal Partner & Co-Head of Heritage Group

Keith joined Gryphon in 2003 and currently serves as Co-Head of the Gryphon Heritage Group. He is also a Co-Director of Gryphon’s Flagship Heritage Management Committee. Prior to leading the Heritage Group, Keith was Head of Gryphon’s Consumer team. He is responsible for managing the group, overseeing portfolio companies, and originating, analyzing and executing investments. The Heritage Group is currently focused on new platform investments in the lower middle market across Consumer, Industrial, Business Services and Healthcare. Current Gryphon portfolio company board appointments include Mechanix Wear, RapidAir, Repipe Specialists, Thermal Technology Distribution Solutions and Vivify Specialty Ingredients. Keith previously served on the boards of Consolidated Fire Protection, Dessert Holdings, Flagstone Foods, Fleet Laboratories, Heritage Distribution Holdings, K&N Engineering, Kano Laboratories, Matrixx Initiatives/ZICAM, Milani Cosmetics, RoC Skincare, Sheplers and TrustHouse Services.

Prior to joining Gryphon, Keith was a Principal with Saunders Karp & Megrue, where he managed investments across a variety of sectors, including retail, consumer, health care, manufacturing, and business services. Previously, Keith worked for Big Flower Press Holdings, the investment vehicle for former Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Partner Ted Ammon, where he shared responsibility for sourcing and executing private equity investments in the business services sector. Prior to joining Big Flower, Keith worked for Bankers Trust and its successor company, DB Alex Brown, where he was a member of the firm’s Leveraged Finance and Private Equity Sponsor Coverage Groups.
