Alex Earls
Deal Partner & Co-Head of Business Services Group
Alex joined Gryphon in 2000 and is the Co-Head of Gryphon’s Business Services Group. He recently served as Co-Director of Gryphon’s Flagship Heritage Management Committee in 2022 and remains a Member of the Committee. He is responsible for originating, executing, and managing investments for his team, and is currently focused on new investments in the information services, professional services and tech-enabled services categories/sectors. Current Gryphon portfolio company board appointments include 3Cloud, Caylent, HEPACO, Jensen Hughes, NewRocket (FKA Highmetric), North America Essential Home Services, RegEd, Shermco Industries and Wind River Environmental. Alex previously served on the boards of DLC, Intelligrated, Nursefinders, Orchid Undewriters, Staffing Now, SynteractHCR, Trinity Consultants and Update Legal and support Gryphon’s investments in Allied Security and Miller Heiman.
Prior to joining Gryphon, Alex was a private equity investor at Castle Harlan, where he assisted with the firm’s successful investment in Ion Track Instruments and other portfolio companies. Previously, he worked at Morgan Stanley, where he evaluated investments in its Princes Gate fund and was also involved in its Corporate Finance Group.
