Founder & Co-CEO
David founded Gryphon Investors in 1995 and is a Co-CEO and Managing Partner as well as the Chairman of Gryphon’s Investment Review Committee and member of the Gryphon Management Committee. Current Gryphon portfolio company board appointments include Jensen Hughes, HEPACO, Transportation Insight and Wind River Environmental. David has served as a former Chairman or Director of most of Gryphon’s previously realized investments, including Accelerated Rehabilitation, AlliedBarton Security, Bright Now! Dental, Consolidated Fire Protection, Cummins, Eight O’Clock Coffee, Envision, Flagstone Foods, Fleet Laboratories, Gary’s Tux/Gingiss, Intelligrated, Joe’s Sports, K&N Engineering, Miller Heiman, MSD Ignition, Nursefinders, PHNS, Sheplers, SynteractHCR, TASQ Technology, Trinity Consultants, TrustHouse Services and Update Legal.
Prior to Gryphon, David served as a Managing Director/Partner of Oak Hill Partners and as a Private Equity Investor at Adler & Shaykin. Previously, he was an Investment Banker in the Corporate Finance and Restructuring departments of Salomon Brothers and Shearson Lehman Brothers.
