Kevin Blank

Kevin joined Gryphon as a full-time Operating Partner in 2017 after becoming a member of Gryphon’s Executive Advisory Board in 2015 and later serving as an Exclusive Operating Advisor in 2016. He now works closely with the Healthcare Group and the management teams of its portfolio companies to maximize short and long-term operating and financial performance. Current Gryphon portfolio company board appointments include AQUA Dermatology, Heartland Veterinary Partners, LEARN Behavioral, where he serves as the Executive Chairman, and Vision Innovation Partners. Kevin previously served on the board of PRN and was the Executive Chairman of Ob Hospitalist Group, which was sold successfully in 2021.

Kevin has over 40 years of health care experience, having held senior management positions across a broad spectrum of the healthcare landscape, including health care technology, payor and physician/retail services businesses. These businesses encompass urgent care, healthcare payment processing, clinical systems to health plans, employers and TPAs, physician practice management in women’s health and cancer care, quality management systems for hospitals, SaaS technology for healthcare benefits brokers, HMO management and population management for pharma companies. Kevin’s experience ranges from an NYSE company to start-ups.

Some of his previous non-Gryphon board positions include Longevity Health Plan (Medicare Advantage ISNP), IMC Health (full risk Medicare Advantage and Medicaid medical group), D&S Community (Intellectual Developmentally Disabled services) and Actual Meds (medication adherence).

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• Fastmed Urgent Care, Chief Executive Officer and President – Grew this business to become the second largest independent urgent care operator in the US.
• Evolution Benefits (now Wex), Executive Vice President – Managed the customer side of this Technology and Debit Card provider for tax advantaged accounts products such as FSA, HSA and HRA.
• BenefitPoint, President and COO – Managed all aspects of this leading Employee Benefit CRM and Insurance Procurement Company with over 140 of the largest benefit brokers in the US.
• Women’s Health USA, Founder, President and COO – Oversaw operations for one of the largest management services organizations in the physician management business. Also served as CEO of the company’s Connecticut business with over 140 OB/GYNs and founder and CEO of its fertility management operations.
• Value Health Sciences/Value Oncology Sciences, Senior Vice President – Managed the Sales, Marketing and Product Development for one of the four divisions of this NYSE company.
