Scott joined Gryphon in 2022 as an Operating Partner in Gryphon’s Industrial Growth Group. In his role, Scott works closely with senior management teams at Gryphon portfolio companies to maximize short and long-term operating and financial performance through strategic, commercial, and operational improvements.
Scott has over 30 years of experience in global industrial business leadership, with a track record for building organizational capability, accelerating top line growth, and expanding profitability. Scott has led business transformations in manufacturing-based companies in industries ranging from electrical solutions, to various building systems, to disruptive technologies.
Prior to Gryphon, Scott’s experience included:- Eaton’s Global Energy Solutions, Group President and member of Eaton’s Senior Leadership Committee – Global leader in differentiated mechanical solutions that facilitates electrical infrastructure.
- Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds Division – President of Electrical Products and Systems business providing safety, quality, and critical reliability within complex environments.
- Cooper Notification, President – Developer in advanced technological solutions for the fire and mass notification systems market.
- Cooper Crouse-Hinds Airport Lighting – Division President of a global OEM provider of airport lighting fixtures and control systems.
- GELcore, LLC – President and CEO of a joint venture with General Electric created to progress and commercialize LED technology.
- General Electric Company, Various Leadership Positions – 15 years in various leadership positions with increasing responsibility at General Electric Lighting. Additionally held a variety of cross-functional roles in marketing, commercial leadership, and business development.
