Scott Hearn

Scott joined Gryphon as an Operating Partner in 2022 and is Co-Head of the Industrial Growth Group. In his role, Scott works closely with the management teams of the group’s portfolio companies to mentor leadership and maximize short and long-term operating and financial performance. He also assists Gryphon deal teams in identifying, evaluating and executing investments. Current Gryphon portfolio board appointments include Vessco Water and AirX Climate Solutions.

With over three decades of experience in the global industrial sector, Scott has demonstrated expertise in driving top-line growth, expanding profits and creating and implementing successful strategies. He is known for his ability to develop leaders, foster cultural engagement and build organizations that prioritize value creation. Scott attributes his broader perspective in business to his role as a father to four children.

• Cooper Industries, President, CH Airport Lighting – Drove earnings expansion and return on sale through reprioritization of multi-generational new product plan to address market needs and technology gaps.
